AUDIENCE PIECES
Audience Pieces activates the historic performances of Yoko Ono from the 60's.
When we started the dialogue with Yoko Ono's studio, every time we wrote them with questions and doubts, we received the same and at first ambiguos answer: 'Freedom'. Of some of the pieces we have chosen, there were only a few pictures and for others only a rough description of what had happened on stage. We realized that the best we could do was producing a contemporary and personal visit to the material, so the performances could be a dialogue between the archive, and the present of the city where they get activated and the artist that directs them.
'Agustina Muñoz's meticulous interpretation and sharp direction bring Ono's pieces to the present time, so they can be opened to the audience in the here and now with their whole potential and strength.'
This work was commissioned by Lucrecia Palacios and Agustín Perez Rubio to be part of Yoko Ono's exhibition "Dream come true' at Latinamerican Art Museum of Buenos Aires (MALBA) in 2016
