'HE KNOWS; OR MAYBE HE DOESN'T'
This work is a collaboration between the visual artist Florencia Rodriguez Giles and Agustina Muñoz.
This research explores different sacred texts, sacred dances and religious ceremonies as aesthetic experiences. The suspension of the disbelief and the carefully constructed steps of a ritual in order to lead the participants to a different state of mind and body is explored as elements of an experience that theater wants to achieve.
Can we create an encounter with the transcendent by reproducing the rituals the way an actor takes a text- with belief and conviction? Can we adapt a rite the way we adapt Hamlet?
This performance was part of the presentations of Beca Kuitca 2011 at Torcuato DiTella University
