ENDYDILL / FINAL IDYLL
The piece it's a never ending repetition of the story of a family, of a tragic event that put their life in pause. I brought Jen Nielsen's piece to my own territory where memory and reconstruction is a key issue, and a place of delirium and safety as the same time. In a stage full of pieces of glasses, a family narrates its personal history as if it were a re-enactment of a tragedy.
This piece was comissioned by the Goethe Institut, under the direction of Hartmut Becher for the cycle of New Contemporary German Dramaturgy,
