LAS PIEDRAS/STONES

At the beginning, even before we started to rehearse, the title of the piece already existed. And a scene that is no longer there: It showed three characters throwing a stone against the wall trying to break it. The wall was peeling but the stone did not break. They tried with fire, but what was burned was the finger of the one who held the stone. They tried hurting the stone with a piece of metal, but only the hands got red and fragile. The stone remained intact.
When we took that scene, the title remained as a direction: what changes and what survives; the idea of time, resistance and heritage as traces in memory and in our bodies. All these appear together in a work where four performers ask for the idea of collective project, of radicacy and perseverance in a world where the future is something that comes closer and further away at the same time.
